The problem:  A Hi-Tech product that was manually manufactured was facing extreme growth.

Task: To cope with this growth a technology and automation roadmap for scaleability was needed.

My contribution: I facilitated the process and acted as both technology strategist and project manager.

The process:

  1. In-depth analysis
    1. Workflow breakdown
    2. Technique Breakdown
    3. Challenges
    4. Advantages
    5. Disadvantages
    6. Tangible and intangible targets for automation
  2. Technology Scouting & Conceptualization
    1. Concept workshops with key personnel and external specialists
    2. Technology Scouting based on the specific focus areas defined by the analysis
    3. Concepts Development & Evaluation
  3. Finalization
    1. Wrapping all the findings together into a conceptual conclusion
      1. Specific requirements to the overall system
      2. Specific requirements to sub systems (robotic cells, interfaces etc.)
      3. Risks & Uncertainties to monitor
      4. Overall description of the technology choices and automation roadmap​​

Frederik quickly understood the context and purpose of the project. He came with the right tools, mindset and knowledge to make a valuable contribution and securing the sucess of the project
